Special phone cases promote the protection of swallows

More than 600 pieces of artwork submitted to endangered birds campaign

Exceeding all expectations, 634 pieces of artwork were submitted to the campaign focusing on the protection of swallows’ nests launched jointly by Telenor, the Hungarian Ornithological and Nature Conservation Society (MME) and Cellect Hungary. Graphic designs arrived from all parts of Hungary from a wide variety of applicants including graphic designers and kindergarten-age children. The winning design will be used to create a 100% biodegradable, environmentally friendly mobile phone case raising awareness of the importance of protecting swallows. HUF 500 of the purchase price of each phone case will be donated to MME’s bird protection programme.

25 additional teaching materials to support teachers

HiperSuli’s competition aims to support teachers and expand their opportunities in digital education. The competition is open for applications from any teacher. The 25 best applicants selected by the professional jury will be enrolled in a training course by Webuni online education platform, while the top 10 will also be granted free Hipernet access and a prize of HUF 100,000. The 25 best teaching materials will be made available to all Hungarian teachers through the Webuni platform.

New service: Telenor offers device insurance for used mobile phones and select accessories

Based on data from the National Statistical Office (KSH) and Telenor Hungary, the number of hours spent by Hungarians using their smart devices has been on the rise over the past 2 years. As a result of the increasing role of mobile phones and more responsible planning, more and more users take out an insurance for their mobile phones and accessories with their mobile operator. In response to changing customer needs, Telenor now offers insurance schemes for used mobile phones (including those purchased elsewhere) and other devices with an IMEI or serial number such as tablets and smart watches both to consumers and business customers.

With Telenor OtthonNet, a new home internet service available on Telenor Hungary’s wireless network, the operator has entered the market of home services. The service targeted at consumers and offering home internet with unlimited data is available to over 1 million households upon launch. Its availability will be continuously expanded with further development.
