József Takács acquired his financial experience at the European Investment Bank in Luxemburg and at Boston Consulting Group, one of the world’s leading strategic consultants, in Hungary. He was responsible for financing, capital market transactions, risk analysis and financial modelling.
He got a taste of telecommunications at Vodafone where he was first Strategic and Business Development Director and later Wholesale and M&A Director. He also sat on the Board of Directors of mobile operator Tesco Mobile. Before Telenor, he worked for an energy trading company partially owned by the MOL Group where he oversaw the establishment, integration and performance of subsidiaries.
He earned his degree in Corporate Finance from Corvinus University of Budapest, then he completed INSEAD Business School’s MBA program in Singapore and France.
