Yettel Hungary
The Törökbálint-based company entered the mobile telecommunications market under the name Pannon GSM in 1994. It was renamed to Telenor Hungary in 2010. In July 2018, the company was acquired by PPF Group, an investor active in several market segments including financial services, telecommunications, biotechnology, real estate and mechanical engineering. PPF Group invests in multiple market segments such as financial services, telecommunications, biotechnology, real estate and mechanical engineering. The reach of PPF Group spans from Europe to North America and across Asia. In 2022 March the company was renamed to Yettel Hungary, same as the two PPF Telekom companies in Bulgaria and Serbia.
In October 2024, the owner PPF Group entered into a partnership with the e& Group and created the e& PPF Telekom Group, which is owned by e& in the proportion of 50% + 1 share.
