The cars of the Waterworks are driven by biogas produced as a result of wastewater treatment

Zalavíz Zrt., which is responsible for the drinking water supply of 161 settlements and the wastewater treatment of 99 settlements in the region, has carried out a digital transformation: it has installed devices and signaling instruments that can communicate online and support the duties of the waterworks concerning control technology, maintenance and operational safety by providing real-time data and access via Telenor’s Hipernet network. 

Telenor added MyKi smart devices for parents and pet owners to its portfolio.  Using the compact MyKi Touch child watch, parents can rest assured about their child’s safety and keep in touch with them either at school or on the playground. Connected to a dog’s or cat’s neck like a collar, MyKi Pet gives a signal if the pet wanders away and tracks their position to make it easier to find them. It can also be used as a tool to support dog training.

Upgraded MyTelenor app elevates smartphone customer service to new level

The number of invoice payment and balance topup transactions completed using the self-service features of MyTelenor app is continuously rising, and a major portion of data tickets are also sold through the app. Telenor now offers a data ticket discount to the users of its recently upgraded app.

Student volunteers help ill children with their studies 

KórházSuli has been supporting the education and school reintegration of children with a long-term illness staying at home or in a hospital for five years now. Secondary school and university students of the same age as patients help them catch up and acquire the curriculum. Doctors claim that this activity also has the potential to accelerate the healing process. At the same time, the children involved go through a self-discovery and personal growth process. In 2014, Hungary had about 1,500 private pupils due to illness. Owing to the shortcomings of the healthcare system, these children can only occasionally exercise their right to appropriate education while recovering from their illness. The KórházSuli Foundation tries to fill the gap between educational and healthcare institutions using volunteers.
