The importance of digital channels has grown tremendously during the COVID-19 pandemic. Many people stepped on a sort of digital springboard acquiring new online skills at a pace faster than the market. In the first wave, Telenor enabled customers’ digital transition by simplifying popular customer service options and launching a series of easy-to-understand tutorials. The online business and digital customer-centricity will further strengthen in the long run with Telenor paying even more attention to the development of digital channels.
Telenor has appointed Zsuzsanna Varga-Hering to head its Digital Channels and Online Sales Department. She has over ten years of experience in the communication and commercial segments including eight years spent in management positions. Previously, she was responsible for marketing and communication at Mall.hu, and earlier she worked in the digital business of several advertising agencies. She’s been Head of Office responsible for this function since she joined Telenor Hungary 4 years ago.
The coronavirus pandemic has created a challenging situation also at her function with the usage of online channels reaching record highs. “We need to give immediate response, launch development sprints fast and simplify complex transactions to make processes easy to manage in the digital space. We want to make online customer service a more tangible experience for those using digital solutions for the first time,” said Zsuzsanna Varga-Hering.
Similarly to the consumer segment, B2B customers also show an increasing demand for digital solutions and online services. As a result, Zsuzsanna Varga-Hering wants to beef up sales and support functions to provide high-quality digital services to an even higher portion of the business customer base.
In her leisure time, Zsuzsanna loves hiking and renovating her holiday home located on the north shore of Lake Balaton. “I like everything related to nature and lakes. I find travelling and active leisure activities very relaxing and they help me get recharged to face another day.”
