Yettel to Offer Unlimited Data Again on 20 June

On 20 June, Yettel will once again suspend data usage billing in celebration of its official prefix day. This means that domestic data usage will not be deducted from customers’ data allowances on that day. Speed limits will remain in effect as usual, but all data usage will be free of charge.

The promotion will run from 00:00 to 23:59 on 20 June 2025 and will be automatically available to all Yettel customers. It extends digital access not only to active mobile internet users but also to those without an active domestic data allowance at the time. Whether it’s a prepaid SIM or an exhausted data package, all customers can freely use Yettel’s network on this day. Unlimited data access is, of course, also available on the 5G network.

At Yettel, 5G access requires no separate activation or settings – even during the summer months. Customers can automatically use the most advanced network, provided they have a compatible handset and SIM or eSIM and are within an area with 5G coverage. Data speed is determined by the conditions of each tariff plan, so network technology alone does not affect speed limits. Yettel remains committed to ensuring that the 5G experience is not just a temporary promotion but a natural part of everyday mobile use for its customers.

Yettel already provides high-speed 5G service at over a thousand base stations across Hungary. According to nationwide average speed measurements by szelessav.net and data from Ookla Speedtest*, its network is the fastest mobile network in Hungary.
