Yettel officially launches today

Yettel, PPF Telecom Group’s new brand, has been officially launched today. Based on in-depth customer and market insight, Yettel aims to be a forward-looking brand that embraces the latest trends and understands the increased role of technology in people’s lives.

“People’s relationship with technology has changed. Being online and connected is now an absolute must. Customers expect us to make high-quality services available to them on the one hand and to help them create a balance in the things important to them on the other. The Yettel brand aims to encourage customers to create a balance in their lives and offers products and services supporting this ambition,” said Marek Slacik, Executive Director of PPF Telecom Group.

With the launch of the new brand, Yettel also offers a renewed tariff portfolio to both postpaid and prepaid customers. Outstanding components of the postpaid portfolio are Prime tariff plans offering unlimited data on Yettel’s 5G network and several services making customers’ lives easier, such as priority customer service, 30-day cancellation for new purchases, HUF 0 handset offers and group-based monthly fee discounts. As a novelty, prepaid customers can enjoy not only a minute rate of HUF 25 but also unlimited internet. If they top up their card with at least HUF 1,500, they get one day of unlimited mobile internet as a gift from Yettel.

“The launch of the Yettel brand is a huge opportunity for us to offer our existing and prospective customers compelling services unprecedented in the market. We want to focus on solutions that provide real benefits and a true 21st century experience to customers. With our simple and easy-to-use services, they will have enough time for the things that really matter to them, both digital and offline”, said Peter Gazik, CEO of Yettel Hungary.

The launch of the Yettel brand and Yettel Hungary requires no action on customers’ part. They can continue to use their subscription as well as the services included in it under the terms and conditions of their existing contract. The company’s call center will still be available at 1220. Shop locations will not change either, but from now on they will feature the Yettel logo.

The company’s website, its URL and Yettel’s mobile app will be updated. From 1 March, the website will available at Yettel.hu, while the previous mobile app will be replaced by the Yettel app. When customers log into their old app, they will see a support message requesting them to upgrade the app that will also be available for download from AppStore and Google Play Store from 1 March to be followed by AppGallery soon.
