In addition, from tomorrow Yettel will temporarily close its office building in Törökbálint. As part of these measures and in line with its commitment to operating responsibly, the company will also temporarily switch off the digital TV displays in its shops during the affected period.
With these measures, Yettel is responding to the Hungarian government’s call for action in light of the current extraordinary situation, helping to maintain the stability of the country’s electricity grid.
This move will reduce energy consumption at the mobile operator’s headquarters in Törökbálint and across its retail network for as long as the extreme weather conditions require. By joining the nationwide call for energy conservation, the company is also supporting the responsible use of energy in Hungary. The measures will not affect the continuity of mobile services, which will remain fully operational throughout the period.
Yettel continues to closely monitor the energy situation and keeps assessing other opportunities to optimise its energy consumption.
