Enikő Szalai has several decades of international experience in HR management, organisational and strategic development and coaching. She specialises in change management and talent management.
Enikő Szalai will arrive in a dynamic environment where Yettel has recently insourced all of its former partner shops. With the 100 new shops, hundreds of employees were added to the headcount, which means she will join a company now employing nearly 2,000 people.
"In a changing economic environment, it’s particularly important to have an organisation with a strong human dimension to build upon. I'm proud to join a company that has found the balance between business ambition, performance, and human values, whether it's about employees or customers. In recent years, Yettel has proven that it does not remain silent in the face of changes affecting society, but responds quickly to challenges affecting colleagues and our environment, near and far,” said Enikő Szalai. “I find that many employees struggle with the hybrid regime, but with Yettel’s recently introduced meeting-light Fridays and solid home office culture, I believe we are adapting successfully to the challenging times ahead. I will endeavour to provide the best support for this,” she added.
Enikő Szalai started her career as a linguistic researcher at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, and entered the business world as a trainer and consultant, where she supported several large enterprises in leadership and organisational development and search and selection projects. Between 2012 and 2015, she worked as Head of HR at Canon Hungary, and from 2015 she led the global Talent and Performance team of the company’s subsidiary in the Netherlands. From 2017, she was responsible for the strategic HR functions of the B2C business at Canon’s London headquarters as HR Director for Europe. She returned to Hungary in 2020, where she supported the merger of UK-based Just Eat and Netherlands-based Takeaway. She later became Global HR Business Partner at the Product & Technology function of the same company and joined Yettel from there.
Enikő Szalai also holds qualifications in business coaching and change management. In her spare time, she likes travelling, hiking and cooking. She is the mother of three children.
