As part of Yettel’s digital education program, the ProSuli robotics competition offers both a playful learning experience and hands-on technological skills. Students not only learn programming and building robots, but they can also develop critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and collaboration skills through teamwork. Playful yet persistent work can lead to international success. While the winners of the ProSuli robotics competition traveled to Tallinn, Estonia, to compete at the international Robotex event in 2025, the winners of the advanced category in 2026 will qualify for the competition in Seoul, South Korea, along with travel support.
More chances this year – beginners and advanced teams are also welcome
As in previous years, the competition is open to primary and secondary school students, creating two main age-based categories. In 2026, this will be expanded further, with participants also grouped into beginner and advanced categories based on their level of competition experience. Thanks to this change, participants do not need to be professionals to take part in the competition. Teams that have only recently started exploring robotics can also prove themselves in the beginner category.
Over the history of robot competitions, participants have encountered a variety of challenges, most commonly line-following tasks and robot sumo contests. At the Yettel ProSuli robotics competition in 2026, teams will be required to complete a line-following challenge. For preparation, the 2024/25 competition track and the current year’s rulebook can provide a solid foundation.
Preparation, regional rounds, finals – head for South Korea
Beginner teams can watch a seven-part online video series and join a training course available at https://prosuli.webuni.hu about the basics of building and programming LEGO Education SPIKE Prime robots. The training is particularly useful for those who are just starting out in robotics or who have programmed other types of robots before.
