Digitisation Program for Hungarian SMEs launched

Yettel Hungary has joined the Demján Sándor Program’s “Every business should have its own website” initiative as a supplier

Yettel Hungary is now an official supplier of the Demján Sándor Program’s “Every business should have its own website” initiative which aims to provide free professional website development and digitisation solutions for Hungarian micro and small enterprises. The program offers businesses an opportunity to build their online presence and develop their e-commerce activities through an application process with government support without having to make a contribution of their own.

The online presence of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) is becoming increasingly important in order to remain competitive. According to BellResearch’s Hungarian Infocommunications Report 2024, 96% of micro-enterprises use the internet, but only 35% of companies have a website. The situation is much better for businesses with more than 10 employees, where digital presence is already close to 90% and websites play a crucial role.

Current trends show that SMEs need to adapt to changing consumer habits. While static websites remain important, interactive social media sites that allow direct contact with customers are playing an increasingly critical role in business communications. It is essential for businesses to have a complete digital presence and to include not only websites but also social media platforms in their communication strategies. As customers increasingly turn to social media for information, SMEs need to adapt to this digital environment in order to successfully reach their target audience. Continuing to develop an online presence is crucial for staying ahead of the market and, as the research data shows, there’s still plenty of room for further progress.

The “Every business should have its own website” initiative is a voucher-based support program that enables micro, small enterprises and private entrepreneurs meeting the eligibility criteria to use the services of professional website designers. The initiative is managed by the Neumann János Nonprofit Közhasznú Kft., and the non-refundable grant can be up to HUF 1.5 million which fully covers the development of the online presence.

Yettel Hungary is a trusted digital partner that helps businesses enter the online space or strengthen their online presence. Its services provide customers with a modern, mobile-friendly and search engine-optimised website, or enable them to enhance their website with, e.g., a webshop, which increases customer engagement and gives them a competitive edge in the increasingly digitised market. The solutions offered and delivered by Yettel are fully user-friendly, from voucher redemption to technical implementation, including design and content coordination. In this way, Yettel takes care of all the details, allowing customers to focus on growing their core business.

Businesses with a winning application and a valid grant certificate can easily access Yettel’s development services by simply redeeming their voucher code. The application process is now open, but funding is limited. For more information, please visit the websites of Yettel Hungary or Neumann János Nonprofit Közhasznú Kft.
