This year’s Yettel Ice Party welcomed more than 1,500 participants to one of Budapest’s most iconic winter venues, the City Park Ice Rink. Skating enthusiasts enjoyed an evening filled with hot drinks, music and a warm, family-friendly atmosphere, made even more memorable by the impressive sight of Vajdahunyad Castle.
The highlight of the evening saw the crowd step onto the ice to create something truly special: a total of 695 skaters formed a single, interconnected human chain stretching hundreds of metres across the rink, setting a new certified Hungarian record in the “skating together” category. The achievement exceeds the current Guinness World Record of 395 participants, previously set in the ice-loving nation of Canada.

For Yettel, the Ice Party is much more than a corporate event. Each year, it is an opportunity to celebrate Hungary’s superfast mobile network by creating shared moments that go beyond everyday operations and turn connection into a genuine experience.
“At Yettel, we are always striving to open up new horizons – whether through the speed of our mobile network or through a collective human achievement like stepping onto the ice together at the same moment. This year’s skating record is a spectacular result and a clear testament to the strong and vibrant community behind our network,” said Judit Tőzsér, Yettel’s Corporate Communications Director.
By now, the Ice Party has become one of Yettel’s most popular and most people-focused events. The joy of skating, spending time together and enjoying sport brings thousands of people together year after year – and this time, participants also became part of a newly certified Hungarian record.
