When tens of thousands of people gather in one place and everyone’s online, posting, or filming at the same time, it puts extra pressure on the mobile network. During the Sziget Festival, the data traffic on site is about 25 times higher around the clock than that of a medium-sized town. Yettel has invested nearly two months of preparation and deployed a team of around thirty experts to ensure that festivalgoers can once again rely on a stable, fast, and dependable network throughout the entire duration of the event. What’s more, high-speed 5G technology will be available at several busy hotspots, and the operator will continue to offer it to customers at no extra cost – not just during the festival, but beyond as well.
1. Can’t find your friends? Don’t worry – you won’t be left on your own!
Can’t send your message or update your location on the map, even though you’ve agreed on a meeting point? Real-time location sharing can be a huge help at festivals, but only if you’ve got a stable mobile connection you can count on. Thanks to Yettel’s reinforced network at Sziget, your phone runs faster and more efficiently, uses less energy, and therefore lasts much longer. If you want to be extra sure, agree on a fixed meeting point, like the 5G zones such as the Yettel Colosseum, the entrance area of the VIP sector near the Main Stage, or the entry points, where you can always regroup and reach your friends.
2. The battery is running down, and it's only six in the evening
Digital tickets, wristband registration, mobile payments—they only work if your phone doesn’t give up. You’ll need your phone throughout the entire festival, but constant use can lead to one of the main sources of stress: your phone’s battery running low. Use the Yettel charging stations available throughout the Sziget Festival if your battery level drops below a critical point. Extra tip: always close background or unused apps after use so they don’t waste any more battery. And of course, it’s a good idea to have a portable power bank to keep your phone alive until you can reach a charging station.
3. Running out of data when you post?
The lights are perfect, the atmosphere is at its peak, your favorite artist is close enough for a great photo, but you just can’t upload the picture. You want to livestream your favorite song, but the video keeps buffering... You’re rushing to a concert but can’t find which stage it’s on or when it starts. Don’t worry, even the most seasoned Szitizens experience this. During Sziget, Yettel offers free unlimited internet with the Yepp service, which you can activate on the official website, so you can share your experiences and favourite moments without worry.
4. You need help, but the call is not successful
Although you can enjoy the music and programs at Sziget in a safe environment, there may be times when you need external help or have to make calls regarding lost documents. Save the most important phone numbers on your contact list and set up emergency contacts on your phone.
5. Can’t find your phone? Don’t worry, all is not lost!
If your phone seems to have gone missing, don’t panic. It might have slipped out of your pocket during the concert or been left in the grass. Turn on your phone’s location services so you can later use the “Find My iPhone” (iOS) or “Find My Device” (Android) feature to see where your handset was last spotted. You can even access these features from a friend’s phone or a borrowed handset. It’s also helpful to display an alternative contact (like an email address or phone number) on your lock screen, so finders can more easily return your device.
+1 Don't have a ticket yet? Only one game separates you from it!
This year at Sziget, you can not only enjoy the fastest network but also compete for it! All you have to do is use the speed test game available in the Yettel app to measure mobile internet speed at 10 different locations. Participants will be entered into a draw for pairs of Sziget festival tickets. The game runs from July 8 to 30.
