The school year is over, but teachers are kicking off July with AI training

Free artificial intelligence workshops continue over the summer holidays

School reports may already be filed away in drawers, but the learning doesn’t stop – at least not for teachers. Nearly 1,000 educators have already participated in Yettel’s digital education programme, ProSuli, a training series focused on artificial intelligence. Feedback shows not only strong interest, but also a continued demand for professional development. The July sessions will focus on how AI can ease teachers’ workloads by helping automate certain teaching tasks.

Although the school year has ended for most schools, some teachers have not yet switched to holiday mode. ProSuli actively supports educators during the summer break, helping them keep up with technology and digital changes. The artificial intelligence workshop series launched in spring has generated even greater interest than expected: nearly 1,000 teachers participated in the first two sessions, and 40% of them expressed a desire to join the upcoming trainings as well.

Unexpected educational success

ProSuli aims to stay at the forefront of digital education – not only in terms of technology but also from a teaching perspective. The program has always been open to innovations; after exploring the world of robotics, this spring artificial intelligence was added to the lineup, focusing primarily on practical rather than theoretical aspects. The first workshop of the training series focused on how AI can help educators create teaching materials, assignments, and lesson plans, as well as how teachers can use AI as a tool rather than perceive it as a challenge. The second workshop centred on task creation: teachers learned through concrete examples how to integrate AI into the preparation of tests and assessments.

“There was an overwhelming number of registrations for the very first session – it was an unexpected success for us and clearly showed that we needed to continue,” said Balázs Koren, head of the ProSuli programme. “Participants were appreciative, and it seems the workshop struck a chord, revealing a strong demand within the teaching community. For many, artificial intelligence still feels distant or unfamiliar, and not easy to explore alone – but we aim to make it more approachable and present it as a practical, powerful tool.”

Class trip planning and administration – how AI can simplify everyday tasks

The third workshop, taking place on 1 July, will focus on automation. How can AI make teachers’ lives easier, and which teaching-related tasks can potentially be automated? “Together, we’ll explore solutions that can help with tasks like creating a class trip itinerary, planning travel, conducting complex searches, compiling professional materials, or even streamlining email communication,” added Balázs Koren.
ProSuli’s goal is not just to keep up with digital trends, but to make them understandable, accessible, and practical for teachers. The teaching community is increasingly open to innovation, and the programme shows that curiosity about new technologies doesn’t stop when the school year ends.
