Based on the results of Telenor’s representative survey, this Christmas will be different from usual this year. Many people plan to spend time together online during the holidays which may increase the value of mobile solutions tailored to the needs of different generations.
As part of the HiperGroup service launched last Christmas, you can create a group by merging at least two active Hiper tariff plans with a valid commitment period and enjoy benefits such as unlimited in-group calls and a discount monthly fee. Telenor has based its Christmas offer on the same popular concept also this year.
Telenor Junior: for children aged 6 to 14
A tariff recommended as children’s first tariff plan focusing on data in line with the mobile usage habits of this age group. It provides a domestic data allowance of 5GB at an attractive price. The handset recommended for this tariff, Moto E6 Play featuring a large 5.5” display and 32GB of memory (upgradable to 256GB) is ideal for schoolchildren.
Included in a HiperGroup, the Telenor Junior tariff is available for a monthly fee of HUF 4,490 with an e-Komfort discount, 11 month commitment, but no handset purchase.
Telenor Teen: teenagers aged 14 to 18
Members of Gen Z have an insatiable hunger for data. Therefore, the tariff plan for users aged 14 to 18 includes 100GB of data and 120 minutes of airtime. 100GB of Hipernet is also available at an attractive price to young people aged 18 to 26 with the Hiper M Net postpaid tariff and the “YES!” option.
Included in a HiperGroup, Telenor Teen tariff is available for a monthly fee of HUF 5,990 with an e-Komfort discount, 11 month commitment, but no handset purchase.
Telenor Senior: for users over 65 years
The most attractive postpaid offer to users included in a HiperGroup is Telenor Senior saving the elderly the trouble of prepaid top-ups. In addition to unlimited calls within the group, it includes 50 minutes of domestic airtime and 500MB of data. As smartphones are not always an ideal solution for the elderly, Telenor is launching two handsets designed particularly for this age group. The Doro 7010 with large buttons and the clamshell Blaupunkt BS06 both have an SOS button that automatically dials preset phone numbers when pushed in an emergency.

Eligibility for the above tariff plans is tied to age. Customers are required to verify their age upon signing their contract and then annually during the term of the contract.
SOS: emergency calls and healthcare helpline
To help ensure the safety of elderly relatives, Telenor has launched its SOS Center (SOS Központ) service available on a 24x7 basis across Hungary. If a user calls SOS Center in a health emergency (fall, feeling unwell, loss of consciousness), operators with a healthcare qualification help them resolve their problem. The service available from Telenor for a monthly fee of HUF 990 without commitment is recommended together with a handset featuring an SOS button.
For elderly people and their family members, it is advisable to combine the SOS Center service and the MyKi Spot gadget. This gadget featuring an SOS button and a tracker feature can be worn on a neck strap, on a belt or the shoulder strap of a bag. The location of the gadget can be remotely tracked using a smartphone app. Users can set emergency numbers automatically called by the device when the SOS button is pushed. The call is also transferred the SOS Center if none of the designated emergency contacts answers the phone when the SOS button is pushed.
Christmas gift for dogs – safety during New Year’s Eve fireworks
The new Telenor Track tariff plan is ideal for pet tracking and positioning devices. The tariff available for a monthly fee of only HUF 490 without commitment includes 1GB of data with an upload and download speed of 32/32Kbps sufficient for pet tracker devices. This tariff is available with the Blaupunkt GS02 device. Attached to the dog’s collar, this water-resistant GPS tracker gadget enables the owner to locate their missing pet.
