Telenor favours SOHO customers with flexible new tariff plans

• Telenor is launching two new tariff plans with several new features for SOHO customers so that they can customize their subscriptions to their business needs.
• Telenor MyBusiness Flexi provides anytime flexible tariff change options without extra fees, even for smaller packages
• Telenor MyBusiness Manager includes unlimited domestic airtime and mobile internet.
• Both tariff plans offer higher data allowances, coordinated commitment periods expiring at the same time and the possibility to combine handset discounts.

“SOHO customers have many different needs based on industry, business size or even the age of owners and their openness to adopt new technologies. Nevertheless, they have some common expectations towards their providers such as customized tariffs, flexibility, handset discounts and transparency of subscriptions. The new Telenor MyBusiness tariffs aim to provide the simplest offer in the market considering all these requirements without hidden costs and small print”, said dr. Gábor Piller, Sales and Marketing Director of Telenor.

“According to our data, the mobile internet usage of SOHO customers is on the rise but it still lags behind that of consumers to whom unlimited data has been available for a year. While the data usage of postpaid consumers increased fivefold between January 2107 and March 2018, it only trebled among SOHO consumers who use three times less data in a month on average. Considering this tendency, to fuel growth and encourage SOHO customers to make the most of mobile internet, Telenor added higher data allowances to its new MyBusiness tariffs” – Piller added.

Higher flexibility and no limits

Of the two tariff plans, Telenor MyBusiness Flexi responds to the customer need of flexibility, enables them to change between tariffs easily and free of charge, even to smaller tariffs. This creates a safe environment for SOHO customers with varying seasonal airtime and mobile internet needs.

Unlimited airtime is now a basic requirement for SOHO customers and Telenor research shows that following in the steps of consumers this segment also has an increasing demand for unlimited mobile internet. In line with this, both Telenor MyBusiness Flexi and Telenor MyBusiness Manager tariff plans include unlimited airtime and unlimited mobile internet, the latter serving the needs of managers and frequent mobile users.

As SOHO customers have demonstrated a clear need for handset discounts, Telenor is launching discount purchase options, with an increased amount for Telenor MyBusiness Manager tariff plans. Under the new, flexible arrangements, handset discounts can be combined and shared. That is, customers can flexibly decide how and when they want to spend the discount they are eligible to after their total number of subscriptions. For added safety, the amount can be used fully or partially any time during the 2-year term of the contract.

One customer, one commitment period

If customers buy only a SIM card for their Telenor MyBusiness Flexi tariff plan, there is no commitment period. But Telenor has also changed its commitment concept for SOHO customers. Telenor MyBusiness Flexi customers have a single commitment period. That is, the 2-year commitment period effective from the date of the first contract will not be extended if a new handset or subscription is purchased which makes the arrangement more transparent for customers.

The launch of the new tariffs is accompanied by an integrated communication campaign which focuses on personal customer needs and flexibility, with the slogan “Flexibility is a given. For you and for us too”.
