For 10 years, the ProSuli program has been actively promoting digital education, continuously supporting Hungarian teachers with up-to-date knowledge and new opportunities. Launched five years ago as part of Yettel’s digital education initiative, the robotics competition attracts more schools and students each year. In 2025, nearly 100 student teams from over 40 towns across Hungary took part in the fun challenge. As in previous years, the competition is preceded by an open call, giving schools the chance to receive LEGO robot kits free of charge. Applications for the 2026 competition and the chance to win free robot kits are open from 28 October to 30 November 2025.
New year, new categories, new prizes
Technical skills, algorithmic thinking, mechanical design, precision, creative problem-solving, and teamwork – these are just some of the abilities students can develop through robot programming. Originally designed for beginners taking their first steps in robotics, the competition has grown organically over the years, becoming a nationwide event with ever-increasing participation. From 2026, new categories – Beginner and Advanced leagues – will be introduced within both the primary and secondary school age groups, allowing students to compete also according to their experience and skill level.
“By 2025, we had outgrown ourselves. Due to the large number of applicants, we already organized four regional preliminary rounds. Now we’re expanding the opportunities even further. Within both the younger and older age groups, we’re introducing a Beginners’ league for students with less than two years of robotics experience, and an Advanced league for those with more practice. This way, every team can find challenges that match their level,” said Balázs Koren, ProSuli’s Program Director.
To help students achieve even greater success, the winner in each category and age group will receive a cash prize, while the top three finishers will qualify for the Hungarian finals of the prestigious Robotex International Robotics Competition. Outstanding performance there could even take them to the international finals in South Korea.
All public schools operating in Hungary can apply for the 25 robot kits and the 2026 ProSuli Robotics Competition until 30 November, regardless of whether they are already part of the ProSuli program. Winners of the kits will be selected by draw.

The regional rounds will take place in February 2026, followed by the national finals in March. In the meantime, ProSuli will support participating teams’ not only with robot kits but also with online learning materials and mentoring opportunities.
