National student competition promotes digital literacy

Student-programmed robots, international qualification, and schools from over 40 municipalities – welcome to the 2025 ProSuli Robotics Competition

For the third year in a row, Yettel’s ProSuli program is hosting one of Hungary’s largest digital competitions: the ProSuli Robotics Competition. Serving as the official national qualifier for the Robotex International competition, this event offers more than just national recognition – the winning team will represent Hungary at one of the world’s leading student robotics contests, held in Tallinn this November.

This year, a total of 98 teams from across the country entered the competition. Following the regional semi-finals, 50 teams advanced to the finals, which will take place on 15 April. The theme of this year's challenge is sensory line tracking, where student-programmed robots must navigate a complex course filled with twists and turns as quickly and accurately as possible. The task demands not only technical knowledge, but also algorithmic thinking, precision, creative problem-solving and teamwork.

What makes the competition even more remarkable is its extensive nationwide reach. This year, more than 40 different municipalities are represented – from major cities like Budapest, Miskolc, Debrecen, Pécs, Tatabánya, Sopron, Nyíregyháza, Székesfehérvár, Gyula and Vác, to smaller, less frequently spotlighted communities such as Csaholc, Zalaszabar, Bekecs, Nagypeterd or Somogyzsitfa. This wide geographical spread clearly shows that the digital future isn’t just reserved for students in large urban centres. ProSuli is actively building a bridge toward digital inclusion and equal opportunity.

Digital education, real community

Beyond hosting competitions, ProSuli fosters a growing digital community by supporting teachers with accredited training programs, ready-to-use curricula, and technology resources. The goal is to ensure that every student – regardless of age, background, or location – has access to future-ready education, empowered by digitally-equipped teachers.
