- Telenor prepares for the Christmas season with several offers including free 3-day unlimited domestic airtime or mobile internet for consumers with an existing voice subscription.
- The newly launched HiperGroup (HiperCsoport) service enables Telenor customers with multiple subscriptions to obtain discounts such as free airtime within their group or 15% off from their monthly fee. HiperGroups can include prepaid, postpaid and home internet subscriptions.
- Telenor Mini, a tariff plan tailored to the MyKi Touch children’s smart watch has been launched.
New service for group discounts
The HiperGroup (HiperCsoport) service is ideal for those who want to make free unlimited voice calls to their friends and family or get other consumer discounts from Telenor. How does a HiperGroup work? You can create a HiperGroup by combining at least two active postpaid Hiper tariffs with an effective commitment, associated with the same customer number. From then on, members of the group can call each other free of charge in Hungary and they also get a certain percentage off their monthly fees automatically credited to their account based on the number of Hiper tariffs involved. If there are two subscriptions involved, they’ll become eligible to a 10% discount, while three or more subscriptions get 15% off from their monthly fees each.
HiperGroups can involve postpaid XS and S, as well as prepaid Hello Kártyás tariffs plans. Postpaid group members can make an unlimited number of free calls within the group, while prepaid members have to pay HUF 1,390/30 days for the same. In addition, each HiperGroup can include one Hipernet Home+ home internet subscription eligible to a monthly discount of 20% or 50%.

A HiperGroup can be established by customers visiting a Telenor shop in person or making a call to the call center and combining at least two Hiper subscriptions associated with the same customer number. Children’s smart watch tariff
On 21 November, Telenor launched the Telenor Mini tariff tailored to the needs of young customers with a MyKi Touch children’s smart watch. The service provides a data volume ideal for using the watch and free voice calls to two pre-set phone numbers for a monthly fee of only HUF 1,990. The smart watch itself is available for HUF 9,990 taking a 2-year commitment. Besides the voice call option, MyKi Touch also enables parents to track their child’s location and set an alarm for the child or the parent if the watch leaves a specified area. The new Telenor Mini tariff can also be included in the HiperCsoport service which means that smart watch users can make free calls of up to 100 minutes to other group members in addition to the two Telenor phone numbers pre-set for free calls.
Unlimited free airtime or mobile internet for all existing Telenor consumers for 3 days
Free unlimited services provided by Telenor to its customers in the Christmas period have always been highly popular. Encouraged by this success, customers with a prepaid or postpaid voice consumer tariff or an SME subscription can decide whether they want to use 3-day unlimited domestic airtime (to standard rate numbers) or 3-day unlimited mobile internet free of charge once in the period between 21 November and 23 December. Customers can activate their preferred gift in several ways.
