- It is not only Telenor’s website that is visited by more people from a mobile phone than from a computer, but online shopping has also reached a turnaround.
- Getting ready for the year-end rush, the mobile operator has renewed its webshop where, on the occasion of Black Friday, Black Week offers are going to be available for more than a week starting on 15 November.
- Under the promotion, select brick-and-mortar shops will also provide 80% discount on smartphones and accessories.
According to Telenor’s survey results, the increase in the number of online transactions reflects clearly identifiable buying habits. A group of online shoppers have a very specific idea of what they want, such as a particular postpaid subscription or the latest flagship model. What is common for them is that once they’ve made their purchasing decision, they want to complete every step of the process fast, all the way to the checkout.
Other customers, however, want to collect detailed information about different tariffs on the operator’s website. They spend more time gathering information before completing an online transaction. Another clear-cut group of customers gather detailed information online but prefer to make their purchase in a brick-and-mortar shop.
Webshop customers want to clearly see the costs during the shopping process and use the webshop efficiently also from a mobile phone. Similarly to mobile platforms getting increasingly used for the consumption of entertainment content, online shoppers also tend to choose mobile phones over computers more often. Based on the trends reflected by Telenor data, the number of online transactions completed from mobile phones exceeded the number of computer-based transactions for the first time this year. In response to this, Telenor has recently renewed its webshop where not only tariffs, but also handsets and accessories are easy to compare. This way, every customer can make their ideal choice with transparent costs both on small and large screens.
Promotional Black Week offers running between 15 and 28 November are available in the renewed webshop, as well as in seven Telenor shops dressed up in a festive ambience across the country.
