The AI training organised under the ProSuli programme was held online and offered free of charge to registered teachers. Participants gained insight into how generative AI works, learned how to write effective prompts and discovered ways to integrate AI into the teaching process – from inspiration to student feedback.
In addition to practical knowledge, the training also provided participants with a fresh perspective and renewed motivation
Almost half of the course participants in the course completed a feedbacks survey to share how they had applied their newly acquired skills. The response was overwhelmingly positive: 95% of respondents not only experimented with AI, but had already incorporated it into their daily teaching. Whether it’s creating classroom tasks, reducing administrative workload or using subject-specific AI tools, participants reported that the training gave them a new momentum and inspiration.
The most popular topics included the subject-specific applications of AI, presentation skills and techniques for effective questioning.
“We are seeing artificial intelligence rapidly spreading among students – both in their free time and as a learning aid. If students are taking advantage of these tools, teachers should not be left behind. AI is a powerful assistant that complements rather than replaces teachers’ expertise. Teacher training has been a cornerstone of the ProSuli programme from the very beginning. We’ve always aimed to respond to current needs, and AI is no exception. Even a basic understanding, combined with the right mindset, can make AI a useful part of everyday teaching – from developing exercises and lesson plans to preparing visual aids and presentations. It was truly inspiring to see hundreds of teachers register for the first AI training and immediately begin applying what they have learned, Many also expressed a strong desire to continue their learning journey,” said Balázs Koren, head of the training and ProSuli.
Training continues
One of ProSuli’s key goals is to equip teachers with up-to-date knowledge across as many areas of digital education as possible. In light of the positive feedback, the AI training series will continue. In fact, 95% of those who completed the survey expressed interest in attending the second course. Next time, the training will focus on topics suggested by the teachers including deeper exploration of AI’s potential and its application in specific subject areas.
