Yettel appoints new Brand and Marketing Communications Director

As of March 2024, András Péter Kovács will lead Yettel’s Brand and Marketing Communications Department and be responsible for telecom branding and marketing communications activities.

András Péter Kovács (37) has held various positions in the Hungarian marketing communications industry for 14 years. He has produced TV programs for TV2, worked at creative agency ACG, and was a member of Magyar Telekom’s campaign team twice, most recently as a head of office and segment manager, from where he joins Yettel.

Previously, he was communications advisor to the CEO of RTL Hungary, responsible for international country branding for Budapest’s 2024 Olympic and Paralympic bid, and head of the brand office at the Hungarian Tourism Agency.

“It is a great opportunity for me to give new impetus to one of Hungary’s youngest brands and to boost the domestic telecoms market through product and service innovation and distinctive communication. I am very honoured to be part of this team and to work together with them to bring the opportunities of digitisation to people through a truly dynamic telco. I’ve followed Yettel’s campaigns, of course, and I can see that the team is well-prepared, has up-to-date knowledge and the right amount of humour to achieve great things together. A big thank you to Olga Bölöni, acting Director, for managing the brand and taking it forward until my arrival,” he said.

“The Yettel brand enjoys great recognition and appreciation among our customers, but there is still room for growth to reach our full potential. With the appointment of András, we aim to give the brand a new momentum by introducing our propositions to Hungarian consumers,” said Nemanja Zilovic, Yettel’s Chief Commercial Officer.

Andras is married and the proud owner of a rescued dog. In his spare time, he is an active balcony gardener, a hobby cook, a keen amateur sailor, and also enjoys squash, weekend walks, reading and, as a beginner, yoga.
