Digitisation has reached all industries, but it is still unknown when and how deeply it will permeate their operations. Today, every organization provides its employees with smartphones to make phone calls, send e-mails or even access its online systems. Driven by both efficiency and security considerations, companies want to equip their employees’ devices with appropriate software and security features. The Apple Business Manager service now available from Telenor simplifies this process. With this service, business customers can manage their assigned Apple devices purchased from Telenor in a simple and consistent manner using a central interface.
Retail chain saves hundreds of IT manhours
The new service is already successfully used by a large enterprise customer of Telenor, SPAR Magyarország Kereskedelmi Kft. The company provides about 800 iPads for business use to its employees. The tedious IT process of setting those devices one by one was fully replaced by the device management system Apple Business Manager. SPAR’s IT staff set a uniform profile for all devices on a central interface which saved about 400 manhours for the company. Once the appropriate security features and applications are set on the devices, their users are provided access to the company’s e-learning materials first. Later, new features will be added to the devices.
Telenor business customers can use the Apple Business Manager service free of charge.
