The event was attended by the company’s employees and 50 enthusiastic students and coaches from the local Football Academy, who were delighted to see the most prestigious trophies of English football up close. As well as the presentation of the trophies, the event included an interactive discussion where the children learned about the journey that led to Manchester City’s success and heard inspiring stories of dedication and perseverance. One of the pupils, Marcell, who plays for a local team, said: “Standing next to the Premier League trophy, I imagined what it would be like to win and lift it. This experience will stay with me forever!”

Manchester City is the first team to win the English Premier League for four consecutive years between 2021 and 2024. Last year they won the Community Shield for the seventh time. This event was made possible by a partnership between Yettel Hungary’s shareholder, e& – majority owner of e& PPF Telecom Group – and Manchester City Football Club.
It was an inspiring experience that will give the participants additional motivation for both their football training and their future success. The event also featured a foosball (table football) tournament and a Manchester City quiz for Yettel employees with inspiring Manchester City-related prizes.
A unique football relic: the trophy of the three lions
The Premier League Trophy is 104 cm tall, weighs 25.4 kg, has a solid sterling silver body and a 24-carat gold-plated silver crown. The design of the trophy is based on the theme “The Three Lions of English Football”. Two of the lions are above the handles on each side. When the captain of the title-winning team raises the Trophy and its gold crown above his head at the end of the season, he becomes the third lion.
