Focus on young people: second national Great Student Internet Awareness Test to be launched

The competition, launched for the second time this year in celebration of Safer Internet Day, aims to promote responsible internet use

This year, Safer Internet Day initiative falls on 11 February. Celebrated every year since 2009, the aim of the event is to raise awareness of the importance of safe and responsible online presence, especially among the younger generations. For the second time, Yettel ProSuli and DUE Media Network are launching the Great Student Internet Awareness Test (Nagy Diák TudatosNet Teszt) to test young people’s online knowledge in a fun way and to show the right response to current online threats.

The internet has become an indispensable part of our everyday lives, but the evolution of the digital space brings with it a host of new, previously unknown threats – amplified by the emergence of artificial intelligence (AI). Moreover, children and young people are particularly at risk: online bullying, phishing, AI-manipulated content and false information are on the rise, so it is essential to equip the younger generations with up-to-date knowledge to successfully protect themselves against these threats.

Test your knowledge online

To celebrate Safer Internet Day, Yettel ProSuli, in partnership with DUE Media Network, is launching a nationwide educational game titled Great Student Internet Awareness Test. The competition, which revolves around an online quiz, will test candidates’ knowledge and skills on topics such as secure passwords, cyberbullying, digital detox, the role of AI in spreading fake news and more.

The test is primarily aimed at 14-20-year-olds, but anyone who wants to improve their digital safety knowledge can take the quiz outside of the competition. The online interface of the competition will be available from 10 February at https://nagydiaktesztek.hu/tudatosnetteszt2, but the test can also be downloaded as an app for smartphones and tablets. The first round will take place between 10 February and 27 April and the top 1,000 scorers will be admitted to the semi-finals on 5 May. In the final, the top 20 candidates will answer the final set of questions on 8 May.

The winners of the national challenge will be rewarded with valuable prizes. The first-place winner will receive a Samsung Galaxy A55 mobile phone, the runner up will get a Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ tablet and the third-place winner will have a Samsung Galaxy A25 mobile phone. Competitors on the 4th to 10th places will each receive an SBS Music Hero Bluetooth speaker.

The results will be announced at the National Youth Media Festival in Budapest on 23 May 2025. More information about the competition: https://nagydiaktesztek.hu/tudatosnetteszt2.
