Two young Hungarians develop digital services in Bangkok to reduce inequalities

This year’s Telenor Youth Forum will be organized in Bangkok at the end of May. The event will be attended by two young Hungarians, Gréta Baukó and Máté Mátyás. At the Youth Forum, the delegates of twelve countries will present their digital ideas to reduce inequalities to Liv Torres, Executive, Director of the Nobel Peace Center, and Jorgen Rostrup, Chief Financial Officer of Telenor Group. The competitors work in four groups on projects including a new mobile platform for reporting labour violations, a Big Data project to fight malaria, an online birth registry for disenfranchised children, and a chatbot that counsels teens on internet safety.

NMHH grants prestigious award to Telenor expert

Hungarian mobile networks in the global top 10

Based on the results of OpenSignal’s latest report, Hungary has the third fastest 4G networks in the world and Hungary ranks in the global top 10 also in terms of network coverage. In 2016 and 2017, Telenor Hungary has spent more than HUF 12bn on network development taking broadband internet not only to large cities but also to 2,700 towns and villages with a population of less than 6,000.
