Telenor hires new creative agency

Telenor has selected a new creative agency in a special tender procedure lasting for several months. The marketing team of the mobile operator found Artificial Group, a dynamic agency with a fresh approach, to be the best partner to work with in both localization projects and the implementation of innovative self-developed campaigns.

Tailoring its communications and services to 2018 needs, Telenor has taken a new approach to managing the tender procedure to select an implementation partner for local campaigns. Before publishing the tender brief, it had worked with candidate agencies for nearly three months to give Telenor’s marketing team an opportunity to meet agency staff, understand their working processes and test collaboration with the different agency teams in a workshop setting.

Based on the results of the tender task, Telenor hired Artificial Group as its creative agency for local campaigns in early January. The two-year contract focuses mostly on the implementation of unique, special campaigns and the infusion of innovative fresh ideas into the roll-out and localization of ATL communications activities.

Since March 2017, DDB Sofia of Bulgaria has been acting as the lead agency for television commercials in most Telenor campaigns. The hiring of a new local ATL agency concludes eight years of partnership with Young & Rubicam including key milestones such as the launch of the Hipernet brand.

“We had many exciting moments and campaigns with the team of Young & Rubicam. We thank them for their long years of support and collaboration and wish them success in the future”said Péter Civin, Telenor’s Brand and Marketing Communications Director.
